Drew Bledsoe is an American football quaterback for the Buffalo Bills.
Bledsoe was drafted by the New England Patriots in 1993 in the first round out of Washington State University. He set many passing records in his tenure there from 1993-2001. His biggest personal feat was completing an NFL record 45 passes out of 70 attempts in a 1994 game against the Minnesota Vikings. He would rally his squad from a 20-0 deficit to a 26-20 victory. That started a string of seven straight wins. He helped the Pats to a Super Bowl appearance in 1996 where they were crushed 35-21 by the Green Bay Packers. He helped New England win a second consectutive AFC East title in 1997 and led them to the AFC Divisional playoffs where they lost a heart breaker 7-6 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He led them to the playoffs in 1998 but they lost in the Wild Card game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He would suffer non-playoff seasons the next two years. |
