Juhi Chawla (born 3 November 1967, Ludhiana, Punjab) is a popular Indian actress.
She was the winner of Miss India title in 1984, later she won Best Costume Award for the Miss Universe contest in 1984.
From beauty contests, she moved into film. Her first big hit was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, in which she starred with Aamir Khan. This Romeo and Juliet story of persecuted teenage lovers was an enormous success and launched Aamir's and Juhi's careers.
Jhi won the Filmfare Best Actress Award in 1993 for Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and a Screen Weekly Award for Best Supporting Actress for: 3 Deewarein.
Juhi Chawla is married to industrialist Jai Mehta.
