Chad Michael Murray (born August 24, 1981) is an American actor and model. He was born in Buffalo, New York.
After having an athletic and performing childhood where he was raised by his father, he was told to pursue a modeling career by a nurse during a stay in the hospital for a football injury. Murray earned a scholarship from a local modeling agency to compete in Orlando where he was noticed by a Los Angeles agent. In L.A., he modelled for Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, and Sketchers.
During his stay in Los Angeles, he pursued an acting career and gained a small role in Diagnosis Murder. From here, his television career blossomed. Murray accepted a larger part in Gilmore Girls, a show on the WB, as Tristan DuGrey, the heartthrob competitor of the feminine main character. Dawson's Creek was his next job where he was the love interest of the two female leading characters. |
