ROB ZOMBIE BIOGRAPHY

Robert Cummings a.k.a. Rob Zombie first started out singing in the mid 80s in his first band White Zombie which they got their name from the 1932 horror movie. Success was a long and challenging process for this band of horror movie loving metal heads and in the early 90s they had some what of a cult following with their 1992 release La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One on Geffen records, but it wasn't until 1995 Astro Creep:2000 with the hit song “More Human than Human” started getting heavy rotation on MTV, radio and was featured in a number of movie soundtracks. In 1996 Mike Judge asked Rob to do some art work for the MTV movie “Beavis and Butt-head do America”. Zombie drew the whole scene when Beavis eats the mushrooms and hallucinates, also White Zombie had the song “Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks and Cannibal Girls” featured on the soundtrack.
But it wasn't until 1997 when Rob decided to leave White Zombie and pursue his solo career and in 1998 he came out with “Hellbilly Deluxe” which happened to go platinum within weeks. In 2001 Rob put out his second solo CD. “The Sinister Urge” which also went multi platinum in only a short time. On Halloween of 2001 Rob married model Sheri Moon (Plays Baby in House of 1000 Corpses) who was on the covers and inside folds of many of Rob’s CDs. He not only produces all his records but he also does all the artwork and he directs all of his music videos. In April of 2003 he produced and directed the major motion picture House of a 1000 Corpses on Lion Gates Films. The movie made $12,583,510 and is already in the works for a sequel , also he did a song on the sound track in which he covers the 1970s hit Brickhouse along side Lionel Richie. On September 23, 2003 Rob Zombie put out his latest CD Past, Present & Future which is a best of album which consists of a collection of White Zombie songs along with Rob Zombie songs. The CD also features 2 brand new tracks and a bonus DVD of 10 music videos. Rumor has it that Rob Zombie is quitting his music career to pursue some of his other projects.
